Use Your Die for a Background

Saturday, February 25, 2017

Hi Tutti fans! Today I am using my Tulip Corner die to create a sort of embossed background for the actual card.  Instead of it being the focal point I am using it against the patterned paper to for an embossed look or even sort of added texture.  Simply choose papers that are closely matched.

I cut out two Tulip Corners and put them at opposite ends and you can see how the colors sort of blend well with one another to where it looks like it could be part of the paper.  I then added a chipboard flowers that I added some glitter to for the center piece,

I hope you enjoyed my card and thanks for stopping by but be sure to check out all the Tutti links

Cup of Coffee or Flowes

Sunday, February 19, 2017

Hi crafters!  Today I am sharing a cup of coffee and some birthday wishes  full of foamiran flowers by using some patterned papers and dies from the Heartfelt Creations: Coffee Talk collection and Vintage Floret dies, foamiran and Imagine:  Encore Metallic Blue ink.
1. Cut a total of 9 florets to make 3 flowers with 3 layers each. You will heat set each flower on the iron.  This allows the material to bend and mold easily from the heat.
2.  Mold each flower by creating buds much like rosebuds as seen above. You can then ink each flower to add and stamens.
Once you have formed all your flowers.  Add them to your coffee cup and any other additional embellishments as desired.
I hope you have enjoyed my card and flower tutorial.

Create a Two-Toned Easter Egg

Saturday, February 18, 2017

Hi Tutti fans! It's almost time to hide all those Easter Eggs and welcome Mr Bunny so today I am going to share Tutti Designs take on Easter with this intricate cut with TUTTI-252 Happy Easter Egg die from the January release!  You can do a lot of fun things with this die.

1.  First, I punched out the die in white cardstock and purple and pink foil paper because I wanted it to be really bright and nothing says Easter more than pink and purple right?!!! Once I did that I cut the egg cut with white cardstock in half.  To serve as an overlay for the other dies I cut.

2.  I used spray adhesive on the white die to overlay over the pink and purple eggs as seen above.  This gave my eggs a nice two-toned look as if we dunked them in paint lol.  Next I cut another purple and pink egg out again to fussy cut the sentiment out as in the 2nd photo above.
3.  As seen above I interchanged the sentiments and layed them over the sentiment so the Happy Easter would really stand out.

To piece my cards together I used an embossing folder that had a frame so the egg could be the focal point in the center and then added a touch of bling to really make the cards a tad fancy!!

Here are views of each individual card and I hope everyone enjoyed my post for this beautiful Saturday and be sure to check back each week for more amazing inspiration from the Tutti Design team!

Easy Foamiran Stitched Blooms Flower Tutorial

Sunday, February 12, 2017

Hi crafters!  Today I am sharing a card I made using Frantic Stamper dies from the  Feminine Style collection.  I used the Stitched Blooms and Ornate Edger.
1.  You will need 6 total Stitched Blooms to make the flowers.  Snip approx about 1/4 inch between each of the petals.  I used some Memento Luxe ink in Angel Pink to give just a touch of color to the flowers to match the background paper of the card.  Next you take each flower using some tweezers lay it against a hot iron.  The flwoer will then begin to curl towards the iron.  (as seen below)
2. You will glue using a glue each 3 flowers per each flower on top of one another staggering each layer.  Next add some stamens to the centers for  a gorgeous flower.
  3.  Punch out some of the stitched leaves as many as you would like and add to your flowers!
I hope you liked my card and I will be making a video of the flower so stay tuned!!

Easter Canvas Kraft Card

Saturday, February 11, 2017

Hi everyone! I am back with a card perfect for Easter which is right around the corner!! So I am sharing this gorgeous Easter Flower Basket die from the January release as shown below:

I used the Greeting Cards Kraft with Canvas from Canvas Corp which has a neutral canvas sheet sewn to the front of kraft cardstock.  I thought it would go perfect with me using gold foil paper for the basket.
Here is a close-up at a different angle.  Hopefully you can see the gold foil over the kraft paper but it was hard to photograph.. at least with my photography skills lol!

I hope everyone enjoyed my post for the day!! Thanks for stopping by!
